Days like these

I am so blessed to live where I live! The Ocean is with in miles.  If I could be in one place for the rest of my life I would tell you it would be on the beach. Anywhere where there is sand and ocean! If I could live one place for the rest of my life id love to have the beach as my “backyard” This is my biggest dream. I am a water girl. I love to lay out my towel and watch my daughter and her daddy out in the distance. I love to see them smile and play and I have a moment of “oh my gosh I am a mama” I still get that! I look at her and I am in AWE! We used to go to the beach all the time when it was beautiful. The husband and I. Now we get to share this with our “daughter” I love the days when we got to the beach to play, and  we like to at times pull over and just admire the waves. I also like to take a blanket and have random picnics where we grab a quick bite to eat like sandwiches and we take it to the beach.  The other day was wonderful, we spent the afternoon at the beach, went home and had a nap. Later that evening my mother in law and sister in law decided to take a stroll on the beach. So we grabbed our coffee and strolled. It was beautiful!

Real talk

Its tough being a woman. and iv had panic attacks thinking about the little lady i am now raising. God trusted me with this beautiful little girl and now i need  to teach isla from a been there done that point of view. where to begin:

Be smart

•  learn to be a good judge of character. learn to trust your gut and surround your self with the people that respect you and that have your best interest at heart. people that when you say "no" its "NO"  no questions asked. believe me they are out there. 

Make smart choice

• i like to quote my on this and i followed her advice! " you can play with fire but not get burned"  i took from this different ways. You can hang with the rebels and not get wrapped up. You can do the whole drinking thing under age and not over do it. (please don't, but i cant be UN real and expect you NOT to do it because i know there is a huge chance you will. just know mommy is not and was not an underage drinker or even now!)

NEVER be too trusting

• learn to know when something does not feel right. even when you think that there is no way out THERE is. please don't allow anyone to swoon you and make you believe things you don't feel is right.learn that this is a very scary world out there. learn to know who and what to trust. 

Don't be naive  goes hand in hand with the above

• don't believe anything you hear or read. always do your research this works for life. :) 

 Be respectuful

• There is nothing more attractive than manners. i feel that society has lost sight of this. learn to go out of your way to open a door, pick up a piece of trash. learn to mind you please and thank you's and learn to make eye contact always! when you are speaking with someone look them in the eyes. when you meet someone go for the handshake. learn to have a firm yet soft handshake. iv got compliments on this. you don't really think about it too much but these little things count. Address people with kindness and with respectful titles.  If someone shares details with you learn to keep it between you and whoever is trusting you with this. if all fails KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS!

Be confident

•  know your worth without being too coincided. its much more beautiful when a woman or a man KNOWS they are beautiful but don't act it. don't be vain. be easy to approach. opens the doors more than you know. 

Domestic

• Nothing is more impressive than a woman who can cook, clean, and get her hands dirty. So try to do things your self. Learn to use your resources so you dont have to rely on anyone. Mommy learned to jump a car, change a tire and many more things and its impressed a few people here and there. 

• Be down to earth

• Be worldly

READ READ READ for a passion not just because you have to. mommy loves getting carried away in her books. and its awesome! 

There is so much i will show you and we will cross that bridge once we get there. Its a scary world out here boo boo and there is no sugar coating. god help us! 

Banana Splits for Dinner... and some miniture golf

Making memories is what we aim for. Since having my daughter i have known i want to make sure that we create memories and update and continue to add to my "mommy and Isla" bucket list!

My mother in law forwarded me an email and suggested we make a memory and have a banana split for dinner. Please take sometime and read the article its truly an inspiration and moving. SO this is what we did this past Friday!!! This mama doesn't like banana's SO i just had scoops or ice cream with some toppings. My family totally loved it and really enjoyed it. Isla totally killed her banana split! so cute to see her sit in a big chair at the table and eat like such a big girl... 

She looked so adorable eating her whip cream as a teaser and then she got cuter!  i just loved her bib she was so themed!

I really want to thank my mother in law for making it special and for isla and for sending me the email and inspired us to get in the mood to make memories

I really encourage you guys to go and follow the link and read the story that inspired us! truly something that makes you appreciate life and not take it to seriously. So we skipped the veggies and ate the sugar! Then we moved on to mini golfing! i had not been since i think my first date there back when i was 16! it was so fun! definitely not baby friendly just yet but we enjoyed the arcade!its was a night to capture and make memories! it was a great way to launch our family vacation! We headed out the next day after this night! what a wonderful life i am blessed to be living!

If i had a boy

HE. WILL. BE. A. GENTLEMAN. 

i want to show my son how to treat a lady. show him what i would want my daughter to end up with. it all starts with me. with a little of my husbands roughness and alot of the qualities i want in a modern age prince charming. Qualities his daddy processes. i would want my future daughter in law to be treated like a princess.Simply because i want my own daughter's to be treated like a princess. i would want my son to be surrounded with manners and know how to treat a lady. be man enough to go out to the store and buy his future love tampons and man enough to protect her and her silly and sensitive enough to go watch that chick flick she has been wanting to watch. Take one for the team son. You will get rewarded. :) 

qualities i would instill since chivalry is NOT DEAD.

respectful- open doors, know how to listen and takes advice and gives meaningful insight. 

loyal- know that no matter what you can be counted on. 

Man of his word- always keep your word. If you Say you are do it. Plain and simple. It's about following through. 

Educated- there are so many places you can go and it's never too late to progress in life.  

handy man- know how to do a little of everything, don't mind getting dirty. Even if your greatest task on hand is to unscrew that jar lid. 

knows how to kiss- yes son, a kiss can say so much. 

how to cook- there is nothing sexier than a man who can cook for his lady and have no shame in doing so. 

how to be gentle- remember that the touch is a powerful thing. 

sweet- be understanding and affectionate and just over all caring. 

confident with the right amount of cockiness- know you got it while saying humble. 

Knows how to laugh- even if it's at your own expense. 

These are some of thebthingsbi would love for any future "son" to know. 

Of the wall post but it's something that ha crossing mind. I have daughters and I don't intend on having more kids so my chance at a boy is in the back of my mind. None the fact these are a few of the qualities id love for my daughters to enjoy.

SO i have been seeing this on many of the blogs i love to follow and thought id jump right in since it seemed like such a neat idea. i like that i can have something to look forward to reading and something that can be "expected" on my blog.and hopefully these letters don't get me in trouble. if i happen to be upset at an even during the week....

2. Revlon just bitten Kissable balm stain. I LOVE THESE! i have 9 colors now! obsessed! 

3. Sonia kashuk hidden agenda. this has quickly became my favorite concealer! LOVE it!

4.Maybelline Bounce creme blush. i love these so easy to use and i have been using these for the last 2 months. 

5. L'oreal  magic Lumi. i use this under my foundation and after my moisturizer.

6. and of course my STORMY PINK!

I have been trying to get my hands a little healtier moisturizing and working on my cuticles since i do a lot of filing at work my nail beds take a beating. I wash alot of dishes so they get super dry so iv been loving this EOS lotion and my Burts bees cuttle and nail butter
